Signal Relay Houses - Serrmi

Signal Relay Houses

Custom-fabricated steel signal houses, relay houses, and enclosures built for railroad infrastructure, field installation, and long-term service.

CUSTOM-BUILT HOUSES FOR CRITICAL SIGNAL SYSTEMS

Serrmi fabricates signal relay houses for railroad, transit, and infrastructure applications. Available in standard sizes or custom configurations, each enclosure is built around customer drawings, equipment layouts, and project requirements to protect critical signal, electrical, communication, battery, and power equipment in demanding field environments. From structural details and access points to security features, material options, insulation needs, and finish selections, Serrmi supports the requirements needed for installation, service access, and long-term performance.

Custom Sizes & Configurations

Signal houses can be built around the specific size, layout, and access requirements of each project. Serrmi offers standard size options such as 4x4, 4x6, 6x6, 8x8, and 8x10, with custom dimensions available for unique site conditions, equipment layouts, and railroad specifications.

Durable, Weather-Resistant Construction

Steel or aluminum construction, sealed designs, insulation options, and durable finish selections help protect critical equipment from long-term outdoor exposure. Serrmi builds each enclosure with rail field conditions in mind, including moisture, dust, temperature changes, and the daily wear that comes with active service environments.

Security & Access Features

Signal relay houses can include lockable doors, locking handle covers, 3-point locking systems, puck locks, and tamper-resistant features. These options help protect signal, electrical, communication, battery, and power equipment while still giving authorized crews practical access for service.

Equipment-Focused Layouts

Interior layouts can be configured to support the systems housed inside, including signal equipment, electrical components, communication systems, batteries, power infrastructure, conduit access, wiring needs, and service clearances. By building around the equipment layout from the start, Serrmi helps deliver a cleaner, more serviceable enclosure once it reaches the field.

Finish & Material Options

Serrmi offers powder-coated or vinyl-wrapped finish options based on customer specifications and project requirements. Powder coating adds durability for demanding field environments, while vinyl wrapping provides a branded finish option when appearance, identification, or consistency across locations matters.

Insulation & Thermal Protection

Serrmi uses insulation materials such as Thermax AG or equivalent, with available 3/4", 1", and 2" thickness options. With an R-value of 7.2 per inch, these insulation options help reduce heat transfer, support temperature control, and protect equipment inside the house.
