Generator Pull-Out Enclosures

Weather-resistant generator enclosures designed to support signal house backup power during outages.

GENERATOR ENCLOSURES FOR SIGNAL HOUSE BACKUP POWER

Serrmi’s generator pull-out enclosures provide a dedicated, weather-resistant housing solution for backup generator support at signal house locations. Installed alongside the signal house, each enclosure gives the generator a protected field location while maintaining a defined connection back to the house power system. With all-aluminum construction, corrosion-resistant hardware, a heavy-duty sliding tray, lockable access, and organized cable routing, these enclosures are built to help keep vital signal systems powered during severe weather, grid events, and unexpected outages.

Weather-Resistant Generator Housing

Generator pull-out enclosures provide a purpose-built home for backup generators in the field. The all-aluminum enclosure, corrosion-resistant hardware, lockable door, and robust hinges help protect equipment from weather exposure, unauthorized access, and day-to-day rail conditions.

Heavy-Duty Sliding Tray

Each enclosure includes a heavy-duty sliding tray designed to help position and service the generator. This gives crews better access for maintenance, refueling, inspection, and generator handling without forcing the equipment to sit loose or unprotected beside the signal house.

Defined House Connection

Inside the enclosure, the generator connects to a dedicated cord and routes through the floor opening to the generator inlet on the signal house. The feed then routes to the load center as a defined generator circuit, helping keep the backup power path organized and easier to identify.

Load Center Integration

From the generator inlet, the feed is routed in conduit to the load center and terminated on a defined generator connection point. This helps keep generator wiring isolated, protected, and clearly labeled for operation, troubleshooting, and lockout procedures.
